After 6 years of replacing his father in running the country, Mr. Kim Jong-un this week began his first foreign trip and the country chosen by the North Korean leader was China.
After his trip to China, Kim Jong-un is expected to have summit meetings with world leaders, including countries that have had tense relations with Pyongyang.
Korea
The news that North Korean leader Kim Jong-un and South Korean President Moon Jae-in might meet for the first time was a `shocking` story earlier this year.
According to the results of the high-level dialogue between South Korea and North Korea this morning, March 29, Mr. Moon Jae-in and Mr. Kim Jong-un will hold talks on April 27 at the Peace House south of the truce village of Panmunjom –
This is considered a big step forward in Korea-North Korea relations.
Before Mr. Kim Jong-un, his father, the late leader Kim Jong-il, also played an active role in warming inter-Korean relations by organizing two summits in 2000 and 2007.

Instead of notifying North Korea directly, the White House earlier this month conveyed the word through a delegation of senior Korean officials and informed the media that President Donald Trump had accepted the invitation to meet leader Kim Jong.
However, up to now, basic information about the meeting between Mr. Trump and Mr. Kim such as time, location, and even the possibility of this meeting are still unanswered questions.
Experts predict that the North Korean government may release three US citizens detained by Pyongyang to show goodwill before the meeting with President Trump.
Leader Kim Jong-un may be willing to negotiate with the United States about abandoning nuclear weapons and missile programs.

According to AP, a high-level meeting between leader Kim Jong-un and Russian President Vladimir Putin is completely possible.
Russia and North Korea recently signed an agreement to cooperate on scientific research and exchange on building bridges across the border.
Maintaining a closer relationship with Russia also brings significant benefits to leader Kim Jong-un’s government.
Japan
Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe is also said to be looking forward to holding a summit with leader Kim Jong-un.
During a meeting with former Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi in 2002, the late leader Kim Jong-il admitted that North Korea had kidnapped 13 Japanese citizens in the 70s and 80s. After this conference, North Korea allowed
Prime Minister Abe is concerned that the issue of kidnapping Japanese citizens will not be resolved if Kim Jong-un only meets other leaders and `ignores` Tokyo.
